If you met your baby through a pregnancy test, ultrasound, or had to say hello and goodbye in the same breath, this is your space. Gathering 2027 is a purposefully intimate, one-day conference for women who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. It’s a place to remember your baby, connect with women who understand this kind of grief, and experience the hope of Christ in community.

This year’s theme, Light in the Darkness, is inspired by John 1:5: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” We chose Light in the Darkness because we believe that grief and hope can exist at the same time.

Holding those two things in tension doesn’t mean pretending the darkness isn’t real. Your baby is still missing and the grief you experience can still show up when you least expect it. There can be questions, anger, sadness, and longing right alongside faith.

Sometimes it’s as bright as the sun, and sometimes it’s just the flicker of a candle. We see it in a baby’s name spoken out loud, maybe for the first time. In a story shared with the woman across the table who understands without needing an explanation. The darkness is real, but at Gathering 2027, it doesn’t get the final word.

Because we’re loss moms too, we know how incredibly lonely grief can feel, and we don’t believe you should have to carry it alone. At the Gathering, there’s space for your story, your questions, your doubts, your tears, your laughter, and the love you’ll always carry for your baby. You won’t have to explain why your baby still matters here.

Maybe your loss is recent and you’re wondering if it’s too soon. Maybe years or even decades have passed and you’re wondering if it’s been too long to attend something like this. Maybe you’re coming with a friend, or maybe you’re nervous about walking into a room where you don’t know anyone.

Maybe you want to tell your story, or maybe you’re not ready to say much at all. There’s no timeline for grief and no certain way you have to show up here. You can share, or simply receive encouragement from those who will come alongside you. Loss Mama, you can come just as you are.

Before you arrive

Your Gathering experience begins before March 6. From the time you register, we begin preparing to welcome you, starting with our team right here in the Gathering Hope office. We add your name to the back of our office door as a daily reminder of what matters most…you!

Next, our Prayer Committee prays for registered guests by name. And as the Gathering approaches, your Table Leader will reach out via text to begin building connection before you ever walk through the doors. You’ll also receive emails with everything you need to feel prepared for the day, including parking and arrival information, what to bring, and other helpful details.

About Your Table

Your table is an important part of your Gathering experience. Each table is thoughtfully created with the hope of helping women feel welcomed, comfortable, and connected. We’re always inspired by the stories that surface at the close of a Gathering, when both volunteers and guests feel like they were seated in just the right place.

Something special happens when loss moms gather around a table. You may come hoping to meet someone who understands your story, only to discover that something in your story helps another woman feel understood, too. You don’t need to have the right words or know what to say, just showing up and being willing to sit beside another loss mom matters. That’s how community begins!

If you’re attending with someone you’d like to sit with, please let us know when purchasing your seat. If you’re purchasing tickets separately, be sure to include one another’s names during registration so we know you’re attending together. If you need to add a seating request later, please email info@gatheringhope.net no later than February 20, 2027, while we’re still creating table assignments.

And while you may be coming with someone you already know, we hope you’ll also leave knowing and connecting with women you didn’t before.

REMEMBERing YOUR BABY

There are meaningful opportunities throughout the day to honor and remember your baby. Share your story, say your baby’s name, or simply listen. You’re welcome to participate in the way that feels most comfortable to you.

From the tables to the smallest details, we thoughtfully prepare the Gathering space to feel warm, beautiful, and welcoming. You’ll find meaningful touches throughout the day designed to remind you that you and your baby matter here.

WORSHIP & SPEAKERS

Spend time in worship and hear honest stories and encouragement from women who understand the realities of grief and the hope we have in Jesus.

CONVERSATIONS AROUND THE TABLE

Throughout the day, there is time for intentional conversation with the women at your table. You can share as much or as little as you’d like.

At our tables, there is no comparing grief and no expectation to fix what another woman is carrying. Whether your story began and ended with a positive pregnancy test, or you had time to hold your baby in your arms, your experience and your grief are valid.

We’re here to listen to one another, not to give advice. We make space for each other’s stories and for every woman who chooses to share to be heard.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS

Our breakout sessions create space to explore different parts of life after loss, with practical support, encouragement, and resources to take with you.

PRAYER THROUGHOUT THE DAY

Our Prayer Committee is available throughout the Gathering to pray for you and with you. You’re welcome to share a prayer request, pray with someone personally, or simply know that there are women holding you in prayer throughout the day.

LUNCH, SHOPPING & TIME TO CONNECT

Lunch is included with registration, and you’ll have time to visit with other guests and explore a curated marketplace of resources, keepsakes, businesses, and organizations selected with the loss mom community in mind.

we’re Loss moms, Too.

This is personal to us. Gathering Hope is a nonprofit created by and for women who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. Through Gatherings, resources, and support programs, we create opportunities for loss moms to remember their babies, connect with one another, and find encouragement grounded in the hope of Jesus.

What began with two loss moms has grown into a community reaching women across the country and around the world. Before our own losses, we had no idea how much pregnancy and infant loss could change a life. We didn’t expect to become loss moms, and we certainly couldn’t have imagined that our babies’ stories would eventually lead us here.

Gathering Hope grew out of our own experiences and a desire to create the kind of support and community we know matters so much after loss. Thank you for trusting us with your Gathering experience.

HOW WILL YOU JOIN US AT GATHERING 2027?

There’s more than one way to be part of the Gathering. Join us in Fort Worth, bring the Gathering to your own community, or find a Host Site or Sisterhood Circle near you.

Option 1: Attend the Gathering in Fort Worth, Texas

Join us at our headquarters location for the full in-person Gathering experience, including worship, speakers, intentional conversations, breakout sessions, curated vendors, curated vendors, your Gathering bag, lunch, and time around the table with other loss moms.

Option 2: Become a Sisterhood Circle Coordinator

Gather 10 or fewer women in your home or another comfortable space and experience the Gathering together. We’ll provide the streamed Gathering content, discussion guide, resources, and support you need to create a meaningful day with loss moms in your own community.

Want to bring the Gathering to a larger group in your community? Host Sites are designed for 11 or more women and are a great fit for churches, organizations, or groups with space to welcome more loss moms. We’ll provide the streamed Gathering content, Host Site Kit, resources, registration support, and guidance along the way.
