Gathering 2020

Gathering 2020 is now full! Click the button below to be placed on our wait list!

Gathering Hope is a growing movement, providing a safe haven for mothers who have survived miscarriage and infant loss, empowering them to both grieve and celebrate their babies together. Regardless of how long ago you lost your baby, or how tiny the life, we invite you to join us for powerful speakers, uplifting worship and a sacred, intimate atmosphere where you are regarded as a truly honored guest. Inspired by Isaiah 40:31, we are excited to share this year’s theme, “In The Waiting”, featuring speakers Heather Butler, author of That Side of Heaven and Tanika Dillard, author of Building a Family Breaks My Heart.

Why should I attend a Gathering?
Encouragement
Empowerment
Sisterhood
Community
Support

We believe that Christ gifts us with the presence of one another as a source of comfort and our annual Gatherings serve as a catalyst for moms to begin forming relationships. We’ve seen the power of community and how it makes a difference. Remembering our babies together lifts the burden of carrying grief alone and our hope in Jesus gives us the strength to not just survive, but thrive. Together.

Isaiah 40: 31 “…but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength…”

Q: How do I attend Gathering Hope 2020?

A: Gathering 2020 is a FREE event!

Q: What should I expect at a Gathering?
A: Gathering 2020 is a virtual event where you’ll experience uplifting worship and powerful guest speakers in an atmosphere where you can both grieve and celebrate the life of your baby, with other mothers. The second half of the Gathering is dedicated to sharing our stories in small, private breakout rooms. The conversation is led by one of our volunteers, a fellow baby loss survivor. Of course, no one is ever forced to speak; however you may feel empowered to engage in the conversation after listening to other women who are on the same path.

Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: Yes! Invite a fellow mom who has experienced a loss, or you’re welcome to invite any woman who supports you. Please make sure to complete individual registration forms for each guest. If you’d like to be in a breakout with a specific person, please include their name on your registration form.

Q: How do I create the Gathering Hope experience at home?
A: We strongly encourage you to plan ahead for this time. Create a Zoom account if you don’t have one already and watch your inbox for email updates with tips on how to get the best experience while attending a virtual Gathering. Plan on finding a quiet space, away from distractions, where you can focus on this special time for yourself. You’re worth it!

Q: Can I bring my husband/boyfriend/other living children?
A: Unfortunately, no. Our event is exclusively for mothers who have experienced miscarriage & infant loss and other women in their support systems (sisters, friends, their own mother). Gathering Hope is an adult-only and women-only event so each guest can feel comfortable about being open and transparent.

Q: Will the event be recorded for me to watch later?
A: Gathering 2020 is designed to be a live, collective experience for bereaved mothers. We suggest planning ahead so that you can engage with the sisterhood of women on this journey to healing. The event will not be recorded.

Q: Do I have to live in the United States to attend Gathering 2020?
A: You may attend from anywhere in the world! However, for our first virtual Gathering we are limiting swag box shipping to U.S. addresses only.

Q: What is required to view and participate in Gathering 2020?

A: You will need a strong internet connection, a phone or laptop (laptop is preferred) and a Zoom account. Headphones might be helpful to limit noise distractions for both you and your fellow attendees.
